How I Work

Pets are most comfortable in their own environment. So, even though it is more challenging than working in a studio, I bring my lighting equipment and photograph your pet in your home or at their favorite place outside, where they are free to be themselves.

Before the photography begins, I take some time making friends with your pet and talking to you about your life together. The more I know, the better I’m able to capture the right images for you.

During the photo session, I will spend two to three hours with your pet. If you would like to be in some of the pictures, please wear solid color, comfortable clothes and dark, plain shoes.

Within two weeks, I will complete the postproduction work on the images and will have them ready for you to review on an online password protected gallery. It will be hard to pick the shot you like most, and I am always available to help you make your final choice. Once you have made your selection, it takes approximately three weeks for the archive-quality prints to arrive.

“Terry was able to capture our puppy’s personality and did it with a creative and artistic flair. She was very flexible and wonderful to work with.”
